Vacation Rental Information & Policies
Vacation Rentals are intended for use by the number of registered guests only. Occupancy is limited to the pre-paid guests. Registered guests may entertain a reasonable number of short-term visitors. However, this is NOT an event venue (wedding, family reunion, large gathering). If you need an event venue for a large number of guests, please contact local resorts, country clubs, and churches.
Check-in at the Lone Pine Realty Office, 6 Main Street, Red Feather Lakes.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. If you need to check in after our office closes (see our hours at the bottom of the page), please call us at 970-881-2500 to make arrangements for an after-hours check-in.
Guests are urged to arrive during daylight hours—many units are hard to find after dark, and snow or ice can make the roads difficult to travel.
Any balance due will be collected during check-in, and we will make a copy of your valid government-issued ID.
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. Please return keys and yellow car tags to the Lone Pine Realty office. If you check-out before our office opens at 9:00 a.m., please put key and car tag through door slot.

No refund will be issued for cancellations within 30 days of check-in, except where weather or road conditions cause the cancellation.
All changes to reservation dates or cabins will incur a $50 change fee.
This cancellation policy applies to ALL cancellations, including those due to COVID (whether from illness, new restrictions in your area, or new restrictions in our area).
By Larimer County regulations, no campfires are permitted on any of our rental properties.
Our Vacation Rental owners attempt to provide necessary services to meet your needs during your stay. However, electronic equipment and services are unreliable in the mountains. Internet, satellite TV, and cell phone service may be interrupted without notice or warning. We do not guarantee that any such service will be available during your stay. No discount or refund will be provided for lack of these electronic services when advertised as available at the cabin of your choice. Red Feather Library provides public WiFi for your convenience. Our office also has guest WiFi available for emergency use only, as our bandwidth is limited.
Most of our units do not have phones. Where phones are present, they are for local use only. Please give the Lone Pine Realty office number to family/friends for emergencies and we will contact you. Verizon and AT&T cell phones may work in some of our properties, but coverage is spotty.
All area fishing requires a permit from the appropriate agency.
Colorado State fishing licenses are required for fishing in the public lakes in and around Red Feather Village.
Permits to fish in the private Red Feather Lakes are available to those renting a cabin located in Red Feather Village and may be purchased from the Lone Pine office.
Permits to fish in Crystal Lakes are available to those renting a cabin located in Crystal Lakes and may be purchased at the Crystal Lakes community office (office hours here https://www.crystal-lakes.org/contact-us/.
Fishing without appropriate permits can incur fines starting at $150.
All units are NO SMOKING. We follow federal regulations—no marijuana use of any kind.
You will be charged a fee of $75.00 if cigarette odor or butts are found in the cabin within 48 hours of your departure.
Guests are expected to wash all dishes; clean cookware, including grill; and bag all trash. Trash must be kept inside the unit, never outside. Failure to do so will result in a $25.00 surcharge. The need for excessive cleaning after your stay will be charged to your credit card at the rate of $50.00 per hour.
Violation of House Rules; our No Pets, No Smoking policy; the Subdivision Regulations, including fishing rules and regulations; or failure to wash dishes, clean cookware and grill, and bag trash are grounds for the assessment of additional charges or cancellation of rental contract privileges without refund.
Some of our units permit pets for an extra nightly fee. This fee assumes pets will be kept off the furniture and bedding. If Housekeeping discovers otherwise, an additional cleaning fee will be charged. Unless you are staying in a pet-friendly unit and have paid the fee, no pets are allowed. If we discover that a pet occupied a non-pet friendly unit, a $150 penalty will be assessed.
Four-wheel drive and snow tires and/or chains are strongly recommended except during July and August. Any towing fees incurred are the responsibility of the guest. We attempt to make sure the driveway is plowed. A sweater or light jacket and long pants are recommended at any time of year. Nights in the mountains can be quite chilly.
ATVs are permitted only on designated trails in the National Forest. Maps are available upon request.
Larimer County prohibits ATV use on county roads and most roads in Red Feather Lakes.
Crystal Lakes permits property owner use of ATVs on their roads, but this is not transferable to renters. The fine for non-owner use of ATVs on Crystal Lakes roads is up to $1000.
